Almanak

ALMANAK– 2004

A book work made in Skopje Macedonia involving 10 local artists and a curator. It was issued in 100 copies with a music cd. It came to being through a specific social situation within the complex political situation in Macedonia at that time.  The original purpose of almanacs were to collect practical information on seasonal events, reflections on the past and predictions of the future, but with space for individual comments on the present. In medieval times the almanac were ordered by private persons and made in one original by scribers and artists. The book also refers to almanacs such as Kandiskys’ Der Blaue Reiter and various obscure issues published by different associations and private persons.
