Mót – af einum stað á annan / Print – one place to another

A commissioned work for the biannual exhibition series Staðir/Places 2014 held in the West fjords of Iceland and an exhibition at Týs Gallery Reykjavík in 2014.

The work consists of 13 flag poles with about 800 sheets of paper attached to them that were put down in a very remote place in Tálknafjörður. The paper was left to the environment for 7 days documenting the weather and the place it settled on in an attempt to catch ephemeral as well as physical residue. Immediately after the opening the work was photographed, collected and removed, leaving no trace.

A couple of months later the piece was shown in a gallery space, with the subtitle – Af einum stað á annan / From one place to another.
